Friendly Gray Whale in Dana Point, CA make us want to sing!
Dear Whale-Loving Friends,
Check out this fun video by our friends at Capt.Dave’s Dana Point Whale Watching. Watch as a gray whale comes super close to the boat to look at passengers. This type of friendly behavior by marine mammals is often referred to as “mugging”. Eastern Pacific Gray Whales are known for this type of behavior, so much so that they are often called the “Friendlies” by whalewatchers in California, USA and in their breeding lagoons of Baja, Mexico.
